Level Guide

Konkuk University offers a full-time academic Korean language and study skills programme for ten weeks (a total of 200 hours). It will be offline and also includes culture classes. There are a total of six levels from beginner to very advanced. You will be sorted based on your proficiency. You may check the following descriptions to check how well your Korean is.

Goals	Student can read and write Hangul Student learn everyday conversations including greeting, self-introduction, finding the way, making a phone call, buying things and meal order.	Student will be able to form longer sentences as they learn more complicated joining clause. Also, student will learn formal and informal expressions and indirect speeches. Student can write simple everyday phrases.	Student can use causative, passive, speculation expressions Student can use basic and simple conversation based on the understanding about the lifestyle of Koreans without difficulty at some public facilities.	Frequently used idioms, proverbs are taught. Through it, the knowledge of the Korean culture and customs will be expanded. Student will be able to discuss beyond every day life situations and express opinions about various topics.	Student can understand overall themes in Korean politics, economy, society and culture. Learn the differences between written and spoken Korean, and the appropriate use of official and unofficial expressions. •Student can understand the general idea after reading a report and listening to the news.	Student can understand the Koreans favorite structure or a discourse. Also, student can speak and write in a similar structure. Student can understand the content including articles, literature, broadcasting discourse concretely through a variety of topics
